9/07/06 *US Open* - During the night session on Arthur Ashe today Bob and Martina Navratilova defeated Anna-Lena Groenefeld and Frantisek Cermak 6-3, 6-4, in their mixed doubles quarterfinal match. 

9/06/06 *US Open* - Mike and Bob had a tough loss to Leos Friedl and Mikhail Youzhny in the third round of the US Open, losing in three tough sets, 7-6(5), 6-7(2), 4-6.

9/04/06 *US Open* -  Bob and Martina Navratilova had a tough second round match against Tiantian Sun and Julian Knowle, but pulled through with a 6-1, 5-7, (10-7) win.

7/28/06 *Countrywide Tennis Classic* - It was an all-American quarterfinal at the Countrywide Classic when Mike and Bob took on Mardy Fish and Justin Gimelstob. The # 1 seeded Bryans prevailed in the meeting, winning 6-3, 6-4.

7/27/06 *Countrywide Tennis Classic* - In the first round Mike and Bob easily defeated Arnaud Clement and Nicolas Mahut 6-1, 6-4. 

7/08/06 *Wimbledon* - Mike and Bob left Wimbledon victorious on Championship Sunday. They collected their first Wimbledon title following their 6-3, 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 win over # 6 seeds Fabrice Santoro and Nenad Zimonjic. In the finals of the mixed doubles event, Bob and Venus Williams lost to # 9 seeds Andy Ram and Vera Zvonareva 3-6, 2-6.

7/07/06 *Wimbledon* - In the semifinals, the twins defeated one of their main rivals on tour, # 3 seeds Mark Knowles and Daniel Nestor 6-4, 6-7(3), 7-6(3), 6-1. Bob and Venus Williams won their semifinal mixed doubles match, defeating Max Mirnyi and Jie Zheng 7-5, 7-5.

7/06/06 *Wimbledon* - Bob and Venus Williams won both their third round and quarterfinal mixed doubles matches. In the third round they defeated # 6 seeds Todd Perry and Rennae Stubbs 7-6(4), 6-3. Following that win, they won their quarterfinal match, upsetting # 4 seeds Leander Paes and Samantha Stosur 7-6(3), 6-3.  

7/04/06 *Wimbledon* - Mike and Bob seemed to have a slow start in their quarterfinal match against # 11 seeds Lukas Dlouhy and Pavel Vizner, bu they closed out the match with a 7-6(4), 7-6(5), 6-1 win over their opponents. 

7/03/06 *Wimbledon* - In the third round, the Bryans dismissed Ashley Fisher and Bobby Reynolds 6-7(5), 6-4, 6-4, 6-2 to set up a quarterfinal meeting with # 11 seeds Lukas Dlouhy and Pavel Vizner. In their second round mixed doubles match, Bob and Venus Williams upset # 11 seeds Mahesh Bhupathi and Zi Yan 6-4, 6-1.

6/16/06 *Stella Artois Championships* - In the quarterfinals Mike and Bob won against # 8 seeds Wayne Arthurs and Justin Gimelstob in a tight match. They won 6-7(5), 7-6(6), (10-7).

6/15/06 *Stella Artois Championships* - The # 1 seeded Bryans won their second round match against Sebastian Grosjean and Andy Murray 7-6(0), 6-4.

6/10/06 *Roland Garros* - Unfortunately Mike and Bob failed to capture their second title at Roland Garros. They were upset by # 2 seeds Jonas Bjorkman and Max Mirnyi in a tough battle, losing 7-6(5), 4-6, 5-7.

6/08/06 *Roland Garros* - Mike and Bob got to yet another French Open final. They defeated # 15 seeds, Andrei Pavel and Alexander Waske 6-3, 7-6(6) to get to their third Roland Garros final. They will attempt to win their second Roland Garros title when they take on Jonas Bjorkman and Max Mirnyi. However, Bob didn't have as much luck in mixed doubles. He and Martina Navratilova lost in the semifinals to # 7 seeds Elena Likhovtseva and Daniel Nestor 6-3, 3-6, 2-6.

6/07/06 *Roland Garros* - # 6 seeds, Bob and Martina Navratilova defeated the mixed doubles team of Maria Kirilenko and Leander Paes in the quarterfinals 6-3, 6-3.

6/02/06 *Roland Garros* - Bob and Mike had a routine victory in the second round today. They defeated James Auckland and Andy Murray 6-1, 6-3.

5/31/06 *Roland Garros* - Mike and Bob started off their bid for the French Open title by defeating Davide Sanguinetti and Andreas Seppi 6-3, 6-1.

5/26/06 *ARAG ATP World Team Championship* - Unfortunately, the US team ended their play at the World Team Championships with a 0-3 record. They were defeated 2-1 by the Spanish team today. Bob stepped up to take a singles position today, but was defeated by Fernando Verdasco 2-6, 6-3, 1-6.  Robby Ginepri played in the second singles match, but couldn't score a victory over David Ferrer. He lost 3-6, 3-6 to the Spaniard. However, Mike and Bob scored the only victory of the tie, defeating Feliciano Lopez and Fernando Verdasco 4-3 retired, to leave the US with a 1-2 loss to Spain.

5/24/06 *ARAG ATP World Team Championship* - The US suffered another tough loss in the World Team Championships today. Nicolas Massu defeated Andy Roddick 4-2 retired, when Andy got injured and Paul Capdeville upset Robby Ginepri 6-4, 6-4. Mike and Bob tried to score a win for the US and were successful. They defeated Nicolas Massu and Fernando Gonzalez 6-4, 7-5, but the Chilean team defeated the US 2-1. 

5/22/06 *ARAG ATP World Team Championship* - In the blue group, the USA faced Croatia in their first tie. Ivan Ljubicic defeated James Blake 5-7, 6-3, 7-6(4) and Robby Ginepri evened out the tie at 1-1 with a 6-4, 7-6(1) victory over Ivo Karlovic. However, the Croatians got the better of the US team in the doubles rubber, when Ivan Ljubicic teamed up with Ivo Karlovic to upset the Bryans 3-6, 6-7(5). This ultimately lead to Croatia taking the tie 2-1.

5/21/06 *Tennis Masters Series- Hamburg* - # 1 seeds Mike and Bob were upset by # 3 seeds Mark Knowles and Daniel Nestor in the semifinals of the clay event.  Knowles and Nestor defeated the American team, in a difficult match 4-6, 7-6(5), (5-10).

5/20/06 *Tennis Masters Series- Hamburg* - In their quarterfinal match against # 8 seeds Leos Friedl and Pavel Vizner, the twins defeated their opponents 6-3, 6-2.

5/19/06 *Tennis Masters Series- Hamburg* - Mike and Bob got a day of rest today since they received a walkover  against Chris Haggard and Wesley Moodie in what was supposed to be their second round match.

5/18/06 *Tennis Masters Series- Hamburg* - Since they are the # 1 seeds at the tournament, the Bryans received a BYE in the first round and will face Chris Haggard and Wesley Moodie in their first match in Hamburg.

5/12/06 *Tennis Masters Series- Rome* - Fernando Gonzalez and Nicolas Massu upset the # 1 seeded Bryans in the quarterfinals of the Masters Series event. The Bryans lost 6-3, 2-6, (4-10).

5/10/06 *Tennis Masters Series- Rome* - The # 1 seeds, Mike and Bob got a BYE in the first round. 

4/16/06 *US Men's Clay Court Championships* - Eventual champions, Michael Kohlman and Alexander Waske of Germany, upset Mike and Bob in the quarterfinals of the US Men's Clay Court Championships. They won the match 5-7, 7-6(4), (10-7).

4/14/06 *US Men's Clay Court Championships* - In the first round the Bryans defeated Americans Thomas Blake and Paul Goldstein 6-3, 6-4.

4/09/06 *Davis Cup - Second Round - USA vs. Chile* - Andy Roddick clinched the US team a spot in the Davis Cup semifinals with a 4-6, 7-5, 6-3, 6-2 win over Fernando Gonzalez. In the fifth match of Davis Cup play, Paul Capdeville of Chile defeated James Blake 6-3, 6-4. The US team will now get ready to face Russia in the Davis Cup semifinals held in September.

4/08/06 *Davis Cup - Second Round - USA vs. Chile* - The Bryans gave the US the 2-1 edge today after defeating Chile's doubles team of Paul Capdeville and Adrian Garcia, 6-1, 6-2, 6-4. Fernando Gonzalez and Nicolas were expected to play the Bryans, but the Bryans had no problems easily defeating Capdeville and Garcia.

4/07/06 *Davis Cup - Second Round - USA vs. Chile* - Andy Roddick helped lift US hopes after evening out the tie at 1-1. He defeated Chile's Nicolas Massu 6-3, 7-6(5), 7-6(5) after James Blake fell to Fernando Gonzalez in five sets, 7-6(5), 6-0, 6-7(2), 4-6, 8-10. Tomorrow it will be up to either the Bryans or Chile's doubles team to give their country a lead in the tie.

4/02/06 *Nasdaq-100 Open - TMS* - Unfortunately, Mike and Bob lost a second straight Tennis Masters Series final. They lost to the tough team of Jonas Bjorkman and Max Mirnyi, 4-6, 4-6.

2/24/06 *Regions Morgan Keegan Championships* - In the quarterfinals, the pair defeated Belgians Xavier Malisse and Kristof Vliegen 6-1, 7-6(4).

2/12/06 *Davis Cup - First Round - USA vs. Romania* - Andy Roddick defeated unexperienced Romanian Razvan Sabau 6-3, 6-3, 6-2 to help the U.S. clinch their win against Romania. In the fifth singles rubber, James Blake helped the U.S. close out the tie with a 4-1 score, after he defeated Horia Tecau 6-1, 7-5.

2/11/06 *Davis Cup - First Round - USA vs. Romania* - Mike and Bob didn't have to play more than one set to give the U.S. a 2-1 edge in the tie. They defeated Romanians Victor Hanescu and Horia Tecau 6-2 ret. when Hanescu was forced to retire from the match with an injury.

2/10/06 *Davis Cup - First Round - USA vs. Romania* - In the first singles match, Andy Roddick was upset by Andrei Pavel, 7-6(2), 6-2, 6-7(8), 2-6, 4-6. Next up in singles was James Blake, who was going to try to level the tie at 1-1. He succeeded by defeating Victor Hanescu in three sets, 6-4, 7-6(5), 6-2. Tomorrow, Mike and Bob will play to try to give the U.S. an edge in the tie.

1/29/06 *Australian Open - Grand Slam* - Third Time's a Charm. Mike and Bob finally won the Australian Open after two previous attempts. In the final, they defeated # 7 seeds Martin Damm and Leander Paes, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, in a highly entertaining match.

1/26/06 *Australian Open - Grand Slam* - The brothers started off the day with an impressive 6-3, 6-4 win over # 4 seeds Paul Hanley and Kevin Ullyett to get a third chance at their first Australian Open championship. In the final they will face #7 seeds Martin Damm and Leander Paes, who took out the Polish team of Mariusz Fyrstenberg and Marcin Matkowksi. However, Mike Bryan and Corina Morariu went on to lose a very tough quarterfinal mixed doubles match to fifth seeded Australians Paul Hanley and Samantha Stosur. Mike and Corina lost 6-7(4), 6-4, 6-7(8).

1/25/06 *Australian Open - Grand Slam* - Mike and Bob continued their run at the Australian Open with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 win over Jan Hernych and Ivo Karlovic in the quarterfinals. However, the news was not so good for Bob Bryan later in the day when he and Vera Zvonareva were upset by # 6 seeds Daniel Nestor and Elena Likhovtseva 4-6, 4-6 in their quarterfinal mixed doubles match.

1/24/06 *Australian Open - Grand Slam* - Bob Bryan and Vera Zvonareva won their second round mixed doubles match, defeating Leos Friedl and Lucie Safarova 6-2, 6-1.

1/23/06 *Australian Open - Grand Slam* - Third seeds, Bob Bryan and Vera Zvonareva started off with a win in the mixed doubles event. They defeated Stephen Huss and Sania Mirza 6-3, 6-3. Meanwhile, Mike Bryan and Corina Morariu continued their run with a 6-2, 6-3 win over French teenagers Gael Monfils and Alize Cornet in the second round.

1/22/06 *Australian Open - Grand Slam* - The twins did not play their second round doubles match, due to the walkover by Juan Ignacio Chela and Gaston Gaudio. In their third round match on Rod Laver Arena, the twins took out # 14 seeds Jordan Kerr and Travis Parrott, defeating them 6-2, 7-5.

11/20/05 *Tennis Masters Cup - Shanghai* -Unfortunately, Mike and Bob's chance at a 3rd straight Masters Cup championship ended when they were defeated in the semifinals by France's Michael Llodra and Fabrice Santoro, 3-6, 6-7(7). However, during the Masters Cup, the Bryans did secure the # 1 spot for the season, ending the year as the best doubles team in the world.

11/17/05 *Tennis Masters Cup - Shanghai* -During the Masters Cup, the Bryans secured the # 1 spot for the season. In a very close match, Mike and Bob defeated # 5 seeds Leander Paes and Nenad Zimonjic 7-5, 6-7(5), 7-6(7) to reach the semifinals of the  Tennis Masters Cup.

09/25/05 *Davis Cup Playoffs vs. Belgium* -  In the Davis Cup playoffs, Andy Roddick defeated Olivier Rochus in a five-set thriller, 6-7(4), 7-6(4), 7-6(5), 4-6, 6-3, to secure the U.S.'s spot in the World Group for 2006. Then, James Blake went on court and defeated Steve Darcis of Belgium, 7-5, 6-1, to give the U.S. a final 4-1 score in the tie.

09/24/05 *Davis Cup Playoffs vs. Belgium* - Mike and Bob needed four sets to beat the Belgian team of Olivier Rochus and Kristof Vliegen in the World Group Davis Cup Playoffs. The twins defeated their opponents, 6-3, 6-7(2), 6-1, 6-3.

09/23/05 *Davis Cup Playoffs vs. Belgium* - On the first day of Davis Cup action against Belgium, the U.S. lost their first match. Olivier Rochus took out James Blake, 6-4, 7-5, 6-1. However, Andy Roddick evened things out with a 6-1, 6-2, 6-3 win over Christophe Rochus to even the tie out at 1-1.

09/09/05 *US Open* - Mike and Bob upset # 1 seeds Jonas Bjorkman and Max Mirnyi, 6-1, 6-4, to win their second Grand Slam of their careers. They grabbed the US Open title for the first time, only dropping 8 points in their service games. Congrats Mike and Bob!

09/08/05 *US Open* - The twins defeated fellow Americans Paul Goldstein and Jim Thomas, 3-6, 6-1, 6-2, to advance to their second career US Open doubles final.

09/07/05 *US Open* - In the quarterfinals, Mike and Bob easily advanced, following a 6-3, 6-4, win over Julien Benneateau and Nicolas Mahut.

09/05/05 *US Open* - The Bryans advanced to the quarterfinals at the US Open after cruising past # 15 seeds Fernando Gonzalez and Nicolas Massu, 6-3, 6-1.

09/04/05 *US Open* - Mike and Bob both won their second round mixed doubles matches. Mike and Corina Morariu defeated Anna-Lena Groenefeld and Frantisek Cermak in three tough sets, 2-6, 6-2, 7-6(7) (the third set was a super tie-break which they won 10-7). Bob and Rennae Stubbs got past tough opponents Mark Knowles and Nicole Vaidisova, in two sets, 6-3, 7-6(4).

09/02/05 *US Open* - Mike and Bob have advanced to the third round of doubles at the US Open after defeating Swedes Robert Lindstedt and Robin Soderling, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3. In mixed doubles, Bob and Mike both won their first round matches. Mike played alongside Corina Morariu, and as the # 6 seeds they scored a 6-3, 6-4 victory over fellow Americans Jill Craybas and Jeff Morrison. The match was entertaining with the players sharing a few laughs, for instance when the male players were getting aced by the females. Bob and Rennae Stubbs were seeded # 2. They defeated Tathiana Garbin and Mariano Hood 6-2, 6-1, in an equally entertaining match and looked like they were in very good form.

08/31/05 *US Open* -   In the first round of the US Open, Mike and Bob won a hard-fought, three-setter against Arnaud Clement and Sebastien Grosjean. They defeated their opponents, 7-6(5), 1-6, 6-3.

08/20/05 *Tennis Masters Series- Cincinnati* -  In the second round of the Tennis Masters Cincinnati, Mike and Bob lost to Wimbledon champions Stephen Huss and Wesley Moodie in a tough three-setter, 3-6, 6-3, 5-7.

08/14/05 *Tennis Masters Series- Montreal* -  In the semifinals of the Tennis Masters in Montreal, Mike and Bob, the # 2 seeds, fell to the unseeded team of Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram, in three tight sets, 6-7(4), 7-6(4), 4-6. This was the first match the twins played in the tournament after receiving a BYE and 2 walkovers.

08/12/05 *Tennis Masters Series- Montreal* -  Mike and Bob are already in the semifinals of the Tennis Masters in Canada. However, they didn't have to do anything to get there. After receiving a BYE in the first round, they received a walkover in the second round against Rafael Nadal and Tommy Robredo and a walkover in the quarterfinals against #8 seeds Wayne Arthurs and Paul Hanley. In the semis they will face #3 seeds Mark Knowles and Daniel Nestor.

08/07/05 *Legg Mason Tennis Classic* - Mike and Bob added the Legg Mason Tennis Classic title to their list of wins this year. They defeated # 2 seeds Wayne Black and Kevin Ullyett (ZIM) 6-4, 6-2 in the championship match. Congratulations Mike and Bob!!

08/06/05 *Legg Mason Tennis Classic* - The Bryans have made it to another final this year after defeating # 3 seeds Mahesh Bhupathi and Martin Damm (IND/CZE) 7-6(3), 7-6(4) in the semifinals of the Legg Mason Tennis Classic.

08/05/05 *Legg Mason Tennis Classic* - The Bryans have moved on to the semifinals after a 6-4, 7-6(4) win over Australians Paul Hanley and Stephen Huss.

08/04/05 *Legg Mason Tennis Classic* - In the first round, Mike and Bob easily got past Sebastian Grosjean and Dominik Hrbaty with a 6-4, 6-1 win.

08/01/05 *Mercedes-Benz Cup*- In the semifinals of the Mercedes-Benz Cup, the # 1 seeded Bryans lost to eventual champions, # 4 seeds Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram 3-6, 2-6.

07/29/05 *Mercedes-Benz Cup*-  In the quarterfinals of the Mercedes-Benz Cup in Los Angeles, # 1 seeds Mike and Bob defeated fellow Americans Tripp Phillips and Jim Thomas 6-4, 6-4. In the next round they are set to face # 4 seeds Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram (ISR).

07/27/05 *Mercedes-Benz Cup*-  In the first round of the Mercedes-Benz Cup in Los Angeles, Mike and Bob defeated Ricardo Mello and Gilles Muller (BRA/LUX) 6-0, 6-4. In the next round they are set to face fellow Americans Tripp Phillips and Jim Thomas.

07/03/05 *Wimbledon - Grand Slam*-  The Bryans tried their best to win their first Wimbledon Championship, but were defeated by Wesley Moodie and Stephen Huss 6-7(4), 3-6, 7-6(2), 3-6. En route to the final, Moodie and Huss had already defeated the # 6, # 9, # 3 and # 1 seeds, before ousting # 2 seeded Mike and Bob. In the quarterfinals of mixed doubles, Mike and Martina Navratilova faced yet another tough match and fell to # 4 seeds Kevin Ullyett and Liezel Huber 3-6, 6-4, 7-9.

07/01/05 *Wimbledon - Grand Slam*-  The Bryans have reached another Grand Slam final. In the semis they defeated # 4 seeds Wayne Black and Kevin Ullyett 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 and have set up a meeting with qualifiers Stephen Huss (AUS) and Wesley Moodie (RSA), who scored a win over #1 seeds Jonas Bjorkman and Max Mirnyi.

06/29/05 *Wimbledon - Grand Slam*-  In the quarterfinals of Wimbledon, the Bryans, seeded 2nd, faced a challenge from the Slovak team of Dominik Hrbaty and Michal Mertinak, but pulled out a win, prevailing 7-6(2), 6-4, 7-6(1). The twins are now in the semis where they will play # 4 seeds Wayne Black and Kevin Ullyett. In a tight third round mixed doubles match, Mike and Martina Navratilova defeated fellow Americans Amy Frazier and Travis Parrott 7-5, 6-7(4), 6-4.  06/28/05 *Wimbledon - Grand Slam*- The Bryans, the # 2 seeds at Wimbledon, comfortably won their third round match against # 15 seeds Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram of Israel, 6-3, 7-6(0), 6-3, to move on to the quarterfinals where they will face unseeded Dominik Hrbaty and Michal Mertinak. In their second round mixed doubles match, Mike and Martina Navratilova got a walkover in their match against Lucas Arnold (ARG) and Emmanuelle Gagliardi (SUI).

06/27/05 *Wimbledon - Grand Slam*- Mike and Bob have advanced to the third round after getting past Great Britain's James Auckland and Daniel Kiernan in four sets, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4. In the second round of mixed doubles, Bob and Rennae Stubbs fell to Argentinians Mariano Hood and Gisela Dulko 4-6, 6-3, 5-7.

06/22/05 *Wimbledon - Grand Slam*- The Bryans, the # 2 seeds at Wimbledon, won their first round match, defeating the Spanish team of David Ferrer and Santiago Ventura, 5-7, 6-3, 6-2, 6-0. Mike and Bob have entered mixed doubles at the Grand Slam and are playing with Martina Navratilova and Rennae Stubbs, respectively. Since they are the # 5 seeded and # 1 seeded teams, they have both received a BYE in the first round.

06/12/05 *Stella Artois Championships*-In the finals, Mike and Bob, the # 2 seeds, upset # 1 seeds Jonas Bjorkman and Max Mirnyi, in two tough tie-breaks, 7-6(9), 7-6(4).

06/11/05 *Stella Artois Championships*-In the semis of the Stella Artois Championships the # 2 seeds, Mike and Bob, had a tough, long match against # 5 seeds Simon Aspelin and Todd Perry, but pulled out a win with a 6-7(14), 7-6(4), 7-5 scoreline.

06/10/05 *Stella Artois Championships*- In the quarterfinals, the Bryans defeated the French team of Arnaud Clement and Sebastien Grosjean 7-5, 3-6, 7-6(2).

06/9/05 *Stella Artois Championships*-In the second round of the Stella Artois Championships, the # 2 seeds, Mike and Bob defeated Mario Ancic and Jeff Coetzee in two tough tiebreak sets, 7-6(3), 7-6(5).

06/05/05 *French Open-Grand Slam*-Seeded third, Mike and Bob, finished their run at Roland Garros as finalists. In the championship match, they were outplayed by # 2 seeds Jonas Bjorkman and Max Mirnyi 6-2, 1-6, 4-6. However, a congrats must go out to the twins for getting to another Grand Slam final.

06/02/05 *French Open-Grand Slam*-Mike and Bob have gotten to their second Roland Garros final after defeating # 1 seeds Mark Knowles and Daniel Nestor 6-3, 3-2 ret. They will try to capture the title when they take on # 2 seeds Jonas Bjorkman and Max Mirnyi in the final.

05/31/05 *French Open-Grand Slam*-The # 3 seeded Bryans have moved on to the semis at Roland Garros after defeating # 6 seeds Leander Paes and Nenad Zimonjic 7-6(5), 6-3 in the quarterfinals. In the semis they will meet # 1 seeds Mark Knowles and Daniel Nestor.

05/30/05 *French Open-Grand Slam*-In the third round of the French Open, Mike and Bob ousted defending champions, # 13 seeds Xavier Malisse and Olivier Rochus, with a 7-6(6), 6-4 win. In their next match, the twins will face # 6 seeds Leander Paes and Nenad Zimonjic.

05/28/05 *French Open-Grand Slam*- In the second round of the French Open, Mike and Bob comfortabley got past Rainer Schuettler and Mikhail Youzhny 6-1, 6-4.

05/26/05 *French Open-Grand Slam*- In the first round, the Bryans were tested by Spaniards David Ferrer and Santiago Ventura, but eventually won 7-6(7), 5-7, 7-5.

05/22/05 *ARAG World Team Championship*- In their last Blue Group tie, the US team faced the Swedish team. In the first match, Vince Spadea beat big server, Joachim Johansson 6-3, 6-4. Thomas Johansson kept Swedish hopes alive when he defeated American Jeff Morrison 6-1, 6-4. The Bryans played the deciding match of the tie but lost to Jonas Bjorkman and Thomas Johansson 4-6, 2-6.

05/18/05 *ARAG World Team Championship*- In their World Team Championship tie against Spain, the US lost 1-2. Tommy Robredo defeated Vince Spadea 6-3, 2-6, 6-3, while David Ferrer defeated Jeff Morrison, 6-4, 7-6. The Bryans posted the only winning match of the tie after defeating Alex Lopez-Moron and Santiago Ventura, 6-2, 6-3.

05/16/05 *ARAG World Team Championship*- The US faced a loss in their round-robin tie against Germany. German Tommy Haas defeated Vince Spadea 6-2, 6-4 and Nicolas Kiefer got the better of Jeff Morrison, defeating him 6-2, 6-2. After the winner of the tie was already determined, Mike and Bob defeated Germans Tommy Haas and Alexander Waske 6-7(4), 7-6(5), 7-5 in a tough match.

05/14/05 *Hamburg - Masters Series*- In the quarterfinals, Mike and Bob the # 3 seeds, were ousted by # 6 seeds Leander Paes and Nenad Zimonjic 6-3, 6-7(5), 5-7.

05/13/05 *Hamburg - Masters Series*- After getting a BYE in the first round as the # 3 seeds, the Bryans comfortably defeated wildcards Michael Kohlmann and Rainer Schuettler 6-0, 6-1 in their second round match.

05/08/05 *Rome - Masters Series*- Unfortunately, in the final of the Tennis Masters Series Rome, Mike and Bob, the # 3 seeds, fell to the # 8 seeded French team of Michael Llodra and Fabrice Santoro, 4-6, 2-6.

05/07/05 *Rome - Masters Series*- Mike and Bob have made it into another final. They defeated Jonas Bjorkman and Max Mirnyi 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 in the semis of the Tennis Masters Series Rome to get their chance for the championship in tomorrow's final.

05/06/05 *Rome - Masters Series*- In the quarters of the tournament, Mike and Bob faced # 6 seeds Leander Paes (IND) and Nenad Zimonjic (SCG) in a tough three set match, and eventually took the match with a  6-2, 4-6, 7-5 score.

05/05/05 *Rome - Masters Series*- After receiving a BYE in the first round of the tournament, the Bryans scored an easy 6-2, 6-3 win over Simon Aspelin (SWE) and Todd Perry (AUS) in the second round.

04/17/05 *Monte Carlo - Masters Series*- Unfortunately, Mike and Bob the # 3 seeds of the tournament had to hand a walkover to # 5 seeds Leander Paes (IND) and Nenad Zimonjic (SCG) in their championship match. Mike hurt his shoulder in the last couple of games in their semifinals match against Michael Llodra and Fabrice Santoro, in the cold conditions. As of now, the twins are questionable for their Wednesday start at the U.S. Men's Clay Court Championships in Houston. We all hope Mike gets well soon and is ready to get back on the courts as soon as he can!

04/16/05 *Monte Carlo - Masters Series*- In the semifinals, Mike and Bob, showing good form, easily defeated # 6 seeds Michael Llodra and Fabrice Santoro, 6-0, 6-4.

04/14/05 *Monte Carlo - Masters Series*- In their quarterfinal match, Mike and Bob had no trouble getting past Croatia's Mario Ancic and Ivan Ljubicic, defeating them with an impressive score of 6-2, 6-1.  In the semis, the twins will face a tougher team when they take on Michael Llodra and Fabrice Santoro of France.

04/13/05 *Monte Carlo - Masters Series*- After receiving a BYE in the first round of the tournament, Mike and Bob crushed Nikolay Davydenko (RUS) and Jiri Novak (CZE), 6-0, 6-1. 

03/28/05 *Nasdaq-100 Open- Masters Series- Key Biscayne*- Mike and Bob, the # 4 seeds of the Nasdaq-100 Open, lost in the first round to the French team of Arnaud Clement and Michael Llodra, 6-7(4), 3-6.

03/18/05 *Pacific Life Open- Masters Series- Indian Wells*- Unfortunately, # 2 seeds, Mike and Bob lost in the semifinals at Indian Wells to # 7 seeds Wayne Arthurs and Paul Hanley 7-6(6), 3-6, 6-7(4).

03/17/05 *Pacific Life Open- Masters Series- Indian Wells*- Mike and Bob advanced to the semis after defeating Yves Allegro (SUI) and Michael Kohlmann (GER) 6-3 6-4 in the quarterfinals.

03/07/05 *Davis Cup - USA vs. Croatia*- In the third match of the Davis Cup tie between USA and Croatia, In the fourth match of the Davis Cup tie between the USA and Croatia, Ivan Ljubicic defeated Andy Roddick 4-6, 6-3, 7-6(11), 6-7(7), 6-2, to secure Croatia's 3-1 win over the USA in the tie. Bob Bryan came out for the final match to improve the USA's score to 2-3 in the tie when he defeated Roko Karanusic 6-2, 3-6, 6-1.

03/05/05 *Davis Cup - USA vs. Croatia*- In the third match of the Davis Cup tie between USA and Croatia, the Bryans lost to Mario Ancic and Ivan Ljubicic, 6-3, 6-7(8), 4-6, 4-6, to give Croatia a 2-1 lead in the tie. Andy Roddick will be on court tomorrow to try to keep the U.S. team alive in the tie.

03/04/05 *Davis Cup - USA vs. Croatia*- In the first match of the tie, Andre Agassi lost to Ivan Ljubicic, 3-6, 6-7(0), 3-6. In the following match, Andy Roddick kept U.S. hopes alive by defeating Mario Ancic 4-6, 6-2, 6-1, 6-4.

02/27/05 *Tennis Channel Open*- Mike and Bob can add their names as Scottsdale champions once again. In the championship match at the Tennis Channel Open, the # 1 seeded bros. defeated the # 2 seeded Australians Wayne Arthurs and Paul Hanley, 7-5, 6-4 to take home the title.

02/26/05 *Tennis Channel Open*- In the semis, the Bryans defeated Mario Ancic (CRO) and Jeff Coetzee (RSA) 6-4, 6-3.

02/25/05 *Tennis Channel Open*- Mike and Bob won't have to play their scheduled quarterfinal match against Yen-Hsun Lu (TPE) and Tripp Phillips (USA) after their opponents withdrew from the event, handing over a walkover to Mike and Bob.

02/24/05 *Tennis Channel Open*- The # 1 seeded twins scored an easy 6-3, 6-2 win in the first round of the tournament, defeating compatriots Jan-Michael Gambill and Justin Gimelstob.

02/20/05 *Regions Morgan Keegan Championships*- Unfortunately, the #1 seeded Bryans failed to capture the title and lost the championship match at the event to # 4 seeds Simon Aspelin (SWE) and Todd Perry (AUS) 4-6, 4-6. 

02/19/05 *Regions Morgan Keegan Championships*- In the semis, the twins had a tough match but managed to overcome #3 seeds Wayne Arthurs and Paul Hanley of Australia, 6-4, 3-6, 7-6(6).

02/18/05 *Regions Morgan Keegan Championships*- In the quarterfinals, the twins had a tough three-setter against Americans Jan-Michael Gambill and Robby Ginepri, but got past the team 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.

02/15/05 *Regions Morgan Keegan Championships*- In the first round they took out American wildcards Amer Delic and Tripp Phillips with a 6-4, 6-4 win.

02/05/05 *Stanford*- On Saturday, February 5th, Mike and Bob made a trip to Stanford to welcome new head coach John Whitlinger and new assitant coach David Hodge, as well as thank former coach Dick Gould. Among the activites they also participated in were conducting a clinic for juniors, participating in drills and playing a doubles exhibition match.

01/29/05 *Australian Open- Grand Slam*- Mike and Bob finished as finalists at the Australian Open for the second consecutive time. In this year's final, they lost to #5 seeds Wayne Black and Kevin Ullyett (ZIM) 4-6, 4-6.

01/27/05 *Australian Open- Grand Slam*- Mike and Bob, seeded second, are into the Australian Open final! In the semifinals they suprised #4 seeds, Jonas Bjorkman and Max Mirnyi with an easy 6-1, 6-3 win. Their next opponents will be #5 seeds Wayne Black and Kevin Ullyett (ZIM). After making it to the quarterfinals of mixed doubles, #5 seeds Bob and Vera Zvonareva lost a close match to #4 seeds Kevin Ullyett (ZIM) and Liezel Huber (RSA), 7-6(5), 3-6, 6-7(8). 

01/26/05 *Australian Open- Grand Slam*- The Bryans have made it to the semifinals after defeating fellow Americans James Blake and Mardy Fish, 6-4, 6-4. In the second round of mixed doubles, Bob and Vera Zvonareva defeated Frantisek Cermak (CZE) and Katarina Srebotnik (SLO) 6-3, 6-2.

01/24/05 *Australian Open- Grand Slam*- In the third round Mike and Bob faced the 13th seeded team of Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram (ISR). They played a long match, but prevailed, winning 6-1, 4-6, 7-6(8).

01/23/05 *Australian Open- Grand Slam*- Mike and Bob had no trouble in their second round match, breezing past alternates Roko Karanusic and Uros Vico 6-0, 6-2.

01/20/05 *Australian Open- Grand Slam*- In the first round of the Australian Open, Mike and Bob rolled past Americans Robby Ginepri and Vincent Spadea 6-2, 6-1. In their next round match the twins will face Roko Karanusic of Croatia and Uros Vico of Italy.

01/12/05 *Medibank International-Sydney*- Unfortunately, Mike and Bob suffered a 2-6, 3-6 first round upset to Martin Damm (CZE) and Jared Palmer (USA). However, they will now be getting ready for the Australian Open.

12/04/04 *Davis Cup Final - U.S. vs. Spain*- Mike and Bob kept American hopes from being crushed today, making the U.S.'s record  for the tie to 1-2, after a 0-2 record from yesterday's matches. They easily rolled past the hometown team of Juan Carlos Ferrero and Tommy Robredo, 6-0, 6-3, 6-2.

12/03/04 *Davis Cup Final - U.S. vs. Spain*- In today's first singles match, Mardy Fish lost to Carlos Moya 4-6, 2-6, 3-6. Then Andy Roddick came on court to keep the American team's hopes up for evening the tie, however he lost a tough match to young gun Rafael Nadal, 7-6(6), 2-6, 6-7(6), 2-6.

11/21/04 *Tennis Masters Cup - Houston*- Mike and Bob captured the 2004 Tennis Masters Cup title as defending champions. In a long, rain-delayed match, Mike and Bob edged past # 4 seeds Wayne Black and Kevin Ullyett 4-6, 7-5, 6-4, 6-2. They became the first team since 1985-1986 to win the Tennis Masters Cup, back to back.

 11/19/04 *Tennis Masters Cup - Houston*- After reaching the semifinals, Mike and Bob, the #2 seeds, upset the #1 seeded team, Mark Knowles and Daniel Nestor (BAH/CAN) 6-2, 6-4. They are set to face #4 seeds Wayne Black and Kevin Ullyett (ZIM), who upset #3 seeds, Todd Woodbridge and Jonas Bjorkman (AUS/SWE).

11/18/04 *Tennis Masters Cup - Houston*- In their third, round robin match, Mike and Bob defeated #5 seeds, Mahesh Bhupathi (IND) and Max Mirnyi (BLR) in a three set thriller, 7-6(7), 5-7, 6-4. They have now moved on to the semifinals.

11/14/04 *Tennis Masters Cup - Houston*- Unfortunately, the Bryans lost their round robin match in the Blue Group to Jonas Bjorkman (SWE) / Todd Woodbridge (AUS) 3-6, 4-6. However, they still have a chance to get to the semis depending on their next result.

10/12/04 *Kremlin Cup- Moscow, Russia*- In the first round, Mike and Bob, who had received a wildcard, had a very tough loss. They lost in a three-set match, in which two sets went to tie-breaks. Marat Safin (RUS) and Max Mirnyi (BLR) defeated the twins 7-5, 6-7(8), 7-6(4).

9/27/04 *Davis Cup Semifinals- US vs. Belarus*-Andy Roddick defeated Alexander Skrypko 6-4, 6-2, giving the US a 4-0 edge in their Davis Cup tie against Belarus. Spain, having beaten France, will host the final against the US.

9/25/04 *Davis Cup Semifinals- US vs. Belarus*-Mike and Bob scored a 6-1, 6-3, 7-5 win over Max Mirnyi and Vladimir Voltchkov to earn the US a spot in the Davis Cup finals. In the earlier matches, Andy Roddick had a 6-1, 6-4, 6-4 victory over Vladimir Voltchkov and Mardy Fish defeated Max Mirnyi 7-5, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3. Even though the US has already won the tie, two more singles matches will be played on Sunday.

9/11/04 *US Open*- Bob and Vera Zvonareva marked themselves as 2004 US Open Mixed Doubles champions when they defeated the unseeded Australians Alicia Molik and Todd Woodbridge 6-3, 6-4. (This was the second year in a row that Bob won the mixed doubles title at the Open. Last year he won with Katarina Srebotnik.)

9/10/04 *US Open*- In the semifinals of mixed doubles, Bob and Vera Zvonareva, the #4 seeds, upset #1 seeds Rennae Stubbs (AUS) and Daniel Nestor (CAN) 7-5, 6-3.

9/06/04 *US Open*- In the quarterfinals of mixed doubles, Vera Zvonareva and Bob got past Emmanuelle Gagliardi (SUI) and Gaston Etlis (ARG) 6-4, 6-3.

9/05/04 *US Open*- Unfortunately, Mike and Bob, the #2 seeds, suffered a second consecutive early exit in the third round of a Grand Slam. They fell to Julien Benneteau and Nicolas Mahut of France, 6-7(5), 1-6. In the second round of mixed doubles, Bob and Vera Zvonareva got through a tough match, defeating Americans Chanda Rubin and Scott Humphries 7-6(7), 6-4.

9/03/04 *US Open*- In the first round of mixed doubles, Bob and Vera Zvonareva comfortably defeated Nicole Pratt (AUS) and Pavel Vizner (CZE) 6-3, 6-4.

9/02/04 *US Open*- The Bryans looked very much in control of their second round match on Court No. 7 today. They quickly defeated the inexperienced doubles team of Karol Beck (SVK) and Robin Soderling (SWE) 6-1, 6-3.

9/01/04 *US Open*- In their opening round match, Mike and Bob easily defeated Amer Delic and Jeff Morrison 6-3, 6-4. 

8/19/04 *Olympics- Doubles*- Unfortunately, in the quarterfinals, Mike and Bob suffered a 5-7, 4-6 loss to the Chilean team of Fernando Gonzalez and Nicolas Massu.

8/17/04 *Olympics- Doubles*- In the second round of the Olympics, Mike and Bob defeated Max Mirnyi and Vladimir Voltchkov (BLR) 6-3, 6-3.

8/16/04 *Olympics- Doubles*- The Bryans demonstrated why they are the #1 seeds by easily eliminating Russians Marat Safin and Mikhail Youzhny 6-1, 6-2.

8/07/04 *Tennis Masters Series-Cincinnati *- After receiving a BYE in the first round, Mike and Bob suffered another second round loss, this time to Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram of Israel, 4-6, 7-5, 5-7.

7/31/04 *Tennis Masters Series-Toronto*- After receiving a BYE in the first round, the Bryans lost their second round match 1-6, 4-6, to the unseeded team of Jared Palmer and Pavel Vizner (USA/CZE).

7/26/04 *World Team Tennis*- The Bryans traveled to New York to help the Newport Breakers defeat the New York Sportimes with a 25-19 score. In singles, Bob defeated Hermes Gamonal 5-2. In mixed doubles, Mike teamed up with Nana Miyagi again to win with Gamonal/Bielik 5-4, and in doubles Mike and Bob defeated Gamonal/Sirianni 5-2.

7/20/04 *World Team Tennis*- The Newport Beach Breakers were again playing the Sacramento Capitals, and again the Capitals defeated the Breakers, this time with a 25-13 score. In the first mixed doubles match, Mike teamed up with Nana Miyagi, but they lost their match to Knowles/Rodionova, 3-5. In singles, Bob lost to Knowles, 1-5 and in doubles, Knowles/Tarango defeated Bob and Mike, 5-3, resulting in a tie victory for the Capitals. Perhaps, Mr. Wayne Bryan, being the coach of the Capitals, gave the Capitals a few tips on how to beat his very own sons.

7/19/04 *World Team Tennis*- Mike and Bob were playing for the Newport Beach Breakers, and won their match against Knowles/Tarango of the Sacramento Capitals. However, in the deciding match, Mike and Nana Miyagi teamed up for a mixed doubles match against Knowles/Rodionova (SAC) and lost 3-5, allowing Sacramento to take the tie with a 20-19 win.

7/18/04 *Mercedes-Benz Cup*- The Bryans won the title of the Mercedes-Benz Cup, defeating #2 seeds Wayne Arthurs and Paul Hanley of Australia, 6-3, 7-6(6).

7/17/04 *Mercedes-Benz Cup*- Mike and Bob have made it into another final this year. In their home state of California, they defeated Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram of Israel, 7-6(4), 7-5, in the semis of the Mercedes-Benz Cup.

7/16/04 *Mercedes-Benz Cup*- In the quarterfinals of the Mercedes-Benz Cup, Mike and Bob eliminated Robbie Koenig (RSA) and Thomas Shimada (JPN) 3-6, 6-4, 6-3.

7/15/04 *Mercedes-Benz Cup*-  In the Mercedes-Benz Cup in Los Angeles, Mike and Bob defeated compariots Alex Bogomolov and Taylor Dent 6-2, 7-6(2), in the first round.

7/12/04 *World Team Tennis*-  In their World Team Tennis match against the Delaware Smash, the Bryans defeated Ram/Wheaton 5-2 to help the Newport Breakers seal their victory.

7/3/04 *Wimbledon-Grand Slam*- In the semis of the mixed doubles event, Bob and Lindsay Davenport lost to doubles specialists and eventual champions Cara and Wayne Black (ZIM) 5-7, 5-7.

7/1/04 *Wimbledon-Grand Slam*- After Lindsay Davenport lost in her singles semifinal, she went back on Centre Court with Bob to defeat Mahesh Bhupathi (IND) and Elena Likhovtseva (RUS) 6-2, 6-4 in their mixed doubles quarterfinal.

6/30/04 *Wimbledon-Grand Slam*- Bob and Lindsay Davenport rolled past their opponents Pavel Vizner (CZE) and Lisa McShea today, winning 6-2, 6-3, in the third round match-up.

6/29/04 *Wimbledon-Grand Slam*- In the third round, Mike and Bob suffered a 3-6, 6-3, 4-6 loss to fellow Americans Scott Humphries and Justin Gimelstob. However, in mixed doubles, Bob and Lindsay Davenport came on the court to win their second round match easily against Wayne Arthurs (AUS) and Milagros Seguera (VEN) 6-4, 6-2.

6/28/04 *Wimbledon-Grand Slam*-  In the second round of mixed doubles, Mike and Lisa lost to Rainer Schuettler (GER) and Barbara Schett (AUT) 6-3, 4-6, 4-6, after receiving a first round BYE.

6/27/04 *Wimbledon-Grand Slam*-  In the second round of doubles, Mike and Bob defeated Gergely Kisgyorgy (HUN) and Lukasz Kubot (POL) 7-6(6), 6-3.

6/25/04 *Wimbledon-Grand Slam*- Mike and Bob defeated the British team of Jamie Delgado and Arvind Parmar 6-4, 6-3, in the first round.

6/18/04 *Wimbledon Qualifying*- After having a great run at the tournament, Bob lost to Andre Sa of Brazil 2-6, 4-6, 3-6, in the final round of qualifying.

6/16/04 *Wimbledon Qualifying*- In the second round, Bob defeated the #2 seed Olivier Mutis of France 5-7, 6-3, 6-2.

6/14/04 *Wimbledon Qualifying*- Bob successfully got through to the second round of qualifying at Wimbledon after defeating Francesco Aldi of Italy 6-3, 6-4 and will face Oliver Mutis (FRA) next.
